SSE company director Gennadiy Bezlyudko gave a report on 18th conference "Modern Methods and Means of Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics". Conference took place in Yalta 4-8 October 2010.

Presentation title: "Integrated assessment of metallurgy industry components and constructions fatigue state on practical level".

7-10 June 2010 in Moscow, 10th European Conference on Nondestructive testing (ECNDT2010) took place.

"Special Scientific Engineering" experts as co-authors presented three papers:

1. Coercivity metering as the basic method of a non-destructive testing of fatigue and as the priority method in the diagnostic set. – Section 1.1. Magnetic Methods.
2. Coercivity of a thermostrengthened steel 14Х17Н2 after forging and repeated loading. – Section 4.2. Materials characterization.
3. Coercimeters with a movable (rolling) sensor. – Section 1.1. Magnetic Methods.

On 4 February 2010 1:00 p.m. in Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University, Chemical building, auditorium 15 (Polytechnical underground station) there was the NDT instrument presentation for welds diagnostics by coercivity measurements.

In 2009 New Scanner for EMAT thickness gauge UT-04 EMA was launched. Outer EMAT scanner for moving over envelope curve.

In 2008, based on Magnetic structurescope MC-04H-2 (Pocket PC edition) the specialized instrument set for customs needs was developed and produced by SSE engineers.

The Customs Magnetic structurescope trial operation have been successfully completing in 2009.

The implementation and modification are planned in 2010.

On 18-19 November 2009, the presentation new technology “Metal fatigue testing by non-destructive method (coercimetry)” was carried out by our experts on ArcelorMittal steel & iron works in Krivoi Rog. Then, the portable instruments (produced by SSE company) operation were demonstrated on ArcelorMittal equipment.

Especial interest was caused by technology application for Non-destructive testing of blast furnace coating, Cowper and cones, both during furnace operation as well as after repair.
